Ready to activate your content? Talk to our team.
You plan your event down to the minute: doors, warm-up, kickoff or the headline set, half-time, the encore. But your live event screens probably run one layout for all of it.
That leaves you with two problems. First, the screen falls behind the event. It's either showing the wrong thing at the moment that matters, or someone on your team is spending hours swapping layouts by hand when they could be working on the event itself.
Second, your crowd can only watch. Thousands of fans in one place, phones already in hand, and no way to be part of what's on screen.
This is where we come in. Amondo's Display product brings everything around your event into one place: your own content, social posts, creator content, sponsor moments and fan submissions. You choose what goes up, and it plays out on any of your live event screens, at any venue.
You might have seen it on stage at Capital's Jingle Bell Ball and Summertime Ball, sharing Team GB fans' content at Tokyo 2020, or across all eight stages at MAD//Fest London.

The big screen is the one place at a live event where you have everyone's attention at once, and every event we run teaches us something about making the most of it. Mostly, that fans take part when it's easy, and that screens need to change as fast as the event does.
Today, we're excited to share two new features in our screen solution that solve the two biggest challenges with on-stage screens. Your screen now keeps in step with every moment of the event, so nobody has to swap layouts by hand. And every fan in the room gets a way to take part in what's on screen. Here's how they work, and how to make the most of them at your next event.
Keyframes: give everything on your live event screens its moment in the spotlight
What it is and why we built it
Your big screen is the prime real estate at your event. Keyframes turns one Display into a set of slides that cycle automatically, so everything that matters gets its turn: a social wall, a sponsor slide, a QR code, a feature video.
We built it because one layout can only do one job. Fans end up watching sponsor branding during the countdown, or a social wall when you need them scanning a QR code. Until now, showing more than one thing meant building a separate Display for each and swapping between them by hand.

How it works
When you're building a Display in Amondo, you can now add as many keyframes as you need, each one its own slide. Every keyframe gets its own grid, padding and tile sizing, plus its own background, font, colour and palette. Rename them so your team knows what's what, drag them into order, or duplicate one to start the next from an existing look.

Each slide can use any content or Tiles you build in Amondo. Fan submissions, Instagram and TikTok posts and creator content all land in Amondo first; your team moderates them, and only what's approved goes up. You can also set content priority, so the freshest posts appear first.
Then set how long each keyframe holds, pick a slide or fade transition and the speed, and the Display cycles through them on its own. It's all done from the Amondo dashboard with no dev work, and nobody has to touch it once the doors open.
Four ideas for your first Keyframes loop
Not sure where to start? Here are four slides worth building in, and you can mix them however suits your event.
A live feed of the people at your event. Fill a slide with photos and videos from your attendees, with a QR code to a submission form so anyone in the crowd can add theirs. Add your event hashtags and the profiles you want to track in Amondo, and what people post on social can show up on screen live too.

Sponsor content, takeovers and co-branded feeds. Give a partner a slide of their own content, hand them the whole screen for a takeover, or build a fully co-branded social feed with their background, colours and branding wrapped around your fan content. Each one holds for exactly the time they were promised. It also gives your sponsorship team something new to sell: a guaranteed screen slot or takeover they can write into the sponsorship agreement as its own line item, then point to at renewal.

A QR code with a clear call to action. Put a full-screen QR code up whenever you want the crowd to take the next step: register, buy merch, download the app or enter a competition. Once someone signs up or buys, you can keep marketing to them long after the event, and attribute that revenue back to the screen.

A live poll. This is where your screen gets interactive. Ask the crowd a question and watch their votes land on the big screen in real time, which brings us neatly to our second new feature.
Live polls: put the crowd's answer on the big screen
Keyframes makes sure everything that matters gets its turn on screen. Live polls take that a step further, inviting every fan in the room to take part, so the big screen becomes a shared moment the whole crowd feels part of.
What it is and how it works
Polls have been part of Amondo for a while. Poll Tiles let you put a question to your audience in any Amondo experience, from a Gallery on your website to a page in your app, whether that's voting on a top player, collecting opinions or getting a feel for what people are thinking.

Live polls now brings that experience to your live event screens. As people vote from anywhere in the venue, the poll updates live on the big screen, with the bars moving and re-ranking so the leading answer always sits on top.
That matters because phones are already part of being at a live event. A Deloitte survey of sports fans found 82% use theirs during live professional sporting events. Live polls give that second screen a job: connecting every fan to what's happening on stage.
Setting one up is simple. Build the poll in the Amondo dashboard like any other Poll Tile, with up to 15 options, then add it to your Display or make it one of your keyframes. You choose whether results show on screen, and you can edit a poll once it's live without losing the votes already in.
The real win is where the vote happens. Scanning the QR code takes fans into your own on-site experience, and once they're there, you can encourage them to do more: sign up as a member, tap through to sponsor content with Click-Through Tiles, or explore what else is on offer. A fan who's already engaged is far more likely to convert, and far more valuable to you as an event organiser.

How to use live polls at your next event
A few ideas to get you started:
Crown the player of the match. Put it to a vote at full time and let the crowd decide, live on the big screen.
Guess the secret act, or crown the act of the night. Get fans voting on who they think the surprise guest will be, or who stole the show, and watch the bars race each other above the stage.
Run a half-time prediction. Who scores next? What's the final score? Fans keep looking up to see where it's landed.
Take the temperature of the room. Find out what your crowd is loving and what they want more of, then take that into your next event.
Hand a poll to a partner. A sponsored question puts their name on a moment the whole crowd is part of.

Keyframes and live polls, available now
You've planned every moment of your event. Now your live event screens can keep up with all of them, and bring the crowd along too.
Keyframes puts everything that matters in the spotlight, from fan content to sponsor takeovers, without anyone swapping screens by hand. Live polls give every phone in the room a reason to join in, and bring fans into your own experience, where they're far more likely to sign up, click through to a partner or take the next step you want them to.
